Regent Surgical Health Develops Advanced Surgery Institute
I am pleased to announce that we will soon be opening our newest facility in Santa Rosa, California. We have partnered with 19 physicians to develop and manage this new ASC that will bring specialized services to the Santa Rosa area.
Located in a remodeled bank building, the new 7,000 square foot multi-specialty center will feature three operating rooms. The facility, which is expected to open in January 2010, will also have two rooms for overnight accommodations. The institute’s specialties will include ENT, neurosurgery, orthopedic/spine, pain management, general surgery, gastric banding, cardiology and podiatry.
Regent is using its proven model of success, partnering with physicians to provide for the only solely physician-owned multi-specialty ASC in the Santa Rosa area. In this highly managed care marketplace where health plans and hospitals dominate the delivery of surgical services, our facility is truly the only multi-specialty fully physician-owned and governed surgical center in the community. We’re excited to work with a highly-skilled team of very specialized physicians who are committed to offering a more personalized healthcare option to their patients.
“This surgery center is the culmination of several years of collaboration among many surgeons in the community”, said Stefan Zechowy, M.D., an ENT and physician partner at ASI. “Our goal is to provide top-notch care in a highly efficient manner, with the surgeons making the decisions that affect the patient at all levels of the process, from the selection of equipment and materials, to the recruitment of talented anesthesiologists, nurses and staff, as well as setting the tone of the environment to produce an exceptional experience for patients and their families.”
As a resident of Santa Rosa, I’m very excited about opening and overseeing the management of an ASC in my home town. The partnership between our company and so many well respected surgeons was actually borne out of a casual conversation I had a couple of years ago at the community dog park with one of our partners, Tom Dunlap, M.D., cardiologist, and ASI board member. I wasn’t actually looking to develop an ASC in the area until I learned about the significant interest amongst so many local physicians and surgeons who wanted a surgical center where they could be the controlling owner.
The Advanced Surgery Institute, part of a complex of surgical medical offices developed in conjunction with the ASC, is located at 1739 Fourth Street, Santa Rosa, CA.
