Regent Surgical Health Develops, Opens Advanced Surgery Institute

Physician Partnership to Bring Specialized Services to Downtown Santa Rosa, CA

Westchester, IL (Jan. 11, 2010) — Regent Surgical Health, a leading developer of surgery centers and physician-owned hospitals, is pleased to announce the official opening of the Advanced Surgery Institute in Santa Rosa, California. The new facility is a joint venture between Regent and 19 local physicians.

Located in a remodeled bank building in downtown Santa Rosa, the new 7,000 square foot multi-specialty center features three operating rooms and one procedure room. The facility is also set up with two rooms for overnight accommodations. The institute’s specialties will include ENT, neurosurgery/spine, pain management, general surgery, gastric binding, cardiology and podiatry.

“We’re using our proven model of success of partnering with physicians to invest in a new facility that will maximize patient care and improve the quality of specialized services for people in the Santa Rosa area,” said Jeffrey Simmons, President of Regent’s Western Region. “We’re excited to work with a highly-skilled team of very specialized physicians who are committed to offering better healthcare options to their patients.”

Kate O’Connor has been selected to serve as the institute’s administrator. “This is an exciting opportunity to work with Regent and our physician partners to offer an advanced line of services in a new setting where our goals will be to improve efficiency and put additional emphasis on enhanced patient care.” O’Connor stated.

The Advanced Surgery Institute will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The facility can be reached by calling (707) 528-6331.
